“On the occasion of the 115th International Women’s Day, Nawa Abhiyan Nepal, Biratnagar branch, successfully conducted various awareness programs:
*March 7, 2025
An orientation program was organized for students of grades 11 and 12 at Mills Mavi, Biratnagar-16, with the participation of 63 students and teachers.
*March 8, 2025
A large-scale awareness rally was conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development, Koshi Province, Morang, and various organizations. Additionally, a door-to-door awareness campaign was held in Musahar Basti and the southern belt of Biratnagar Metropolitan City Wards 12 and 16, where 200 awareness pamphlets were distributed among 50 households.
*March 9, 2025
Awareness sessions were conducted at four locations—Musari Tole, Gayak Tole, Sugar Mill Area, and Mahamaya Bhagwati School—situated near the India-Nepal border in Biratnagar-16. The program included pamphlet distribution and discussions on the increasing cases of human trafficking due to gender-based violence, with 50 participants in attendance.
Through these initiatives, Nawa Abhiyan Nepal, Biratnagar branch, reached a total of 363 individuals.
